 The Norfork Lake Chamber of Commerce was formed in the Spring of 2006
 to promote and protect this beautiful Ozark community where we live and work. Join us today.

Chamber Accomplishments

·         Created and maintains an interactive DVD Vacation Guide with an 8 minute Lake video that gives members a chance to individually showcase and promote their businesses.

·         Established a highly ranked Chamber website with streaming video, members’ business information, membership advertising and regularly updated information for visitors.

·         Partnered with Game & Fish and local clubs to make Norfork the first lake in Arkansas to begin the “Stop Aquatic Hitchhikers” campaign.

·         Represent the Norfork Lake area as an active member of Arkansas’s ‘Aquatic Nuisance Species Task Force’.

·         Succeeded in changing the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers referenced minimum lake elevation for Norfork Lake from 533’ to 545’.

·         Taken an active role in lake wide events like lake cleanup, fireworks show, Bass Cat and fishing tournaments, scuba treasure hunt and boat shows.

·         Developed a sound working relationship with all federal, state and local governments to better represent members on issues like minimum flow, water quality and tourism.

Future Plans

·         Continue to represent, promote and protect our members and the Norfork Lake area.

·         Increase our membership and our volunteer base.

·         Develop more tourism in the “off season” with new events, functions and marketing.

Your Membership Benefits 

Chamber Website

·         Your Business name, Contact name, Address, Phone number, Website address and E-mail address is posted in the categories which you indicated on your Membership Application. 

·         You have the option of purchasing a Website Logo Ad on the home page or secondary pages that will take viewers directly to your listing. 

DVD Vacation Guide

·         Your Business name, Website address and Phone number is posted in the categories which you indicated on your application. You receive 5 DVD copies containing your added information and will be on the next DVD production run. These DVDs will be distributed at trade shows and mailed out to anyone who requests information through the Chamber’s website.  

·         You may purchase additional Chamber DVD Copies containing your contact information at anytime.  

·         You have the option of purchasing additional advertising exposure on the DVD with a 45 second Video Info Page or a 2 ½ minute Video Business Card. Both provide you the opportunity to highlight and showcase your business within your particular category on the Chambers DVD Vacation Guide. 

·         You also have the option of making a Personal Profile DVD for your own individual marketing plan. It is just like the Chamber DVD with  the 8 minute lake video and membership menus but you are the only business listed in your category and features a 6 – 8 minutes video of your business.

·         You receive email leads generated by the website.

·         You receive the monthly e-newsletter. 

·         You have the option of participating in the seasonal Chamber Referral Service that notifies members of availabilities, lodging and specials. 

·         You have the option of serving on committees and events of interest or possibly on the Board of Directors.
